OFFICIAL STATEMENT OF FAITH, DOCTRINE AND PRACTICE

PREAMBLE

We, the clergy, religious, and faithful of the Ecumenical Church of Christ Mission USA, profess the Christian faith as revealed by God in the Holy Scriptures, handed down through Sacred Tradition, proclaimed by the Apostles, preserved by the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, and centered upon the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

We affirm our commitment to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, celebrate the Sacraments, serve humanity, promote Christian unity, and advance the Kingdom of God throughout the world.

ARTICLE I
THE HOLY TRINITY

We believe in One God, eternally existing in Three Divine Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

ARTICLE II
DIVINE REVELATION:
SACRED SCRIPTURE AND SACRED TRADITION

We believe that Divine Revelation is transmitted through Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition.

ARTICLE III
JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Eternal Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Blessed Virgin Mary, crucified, risen, ascended, and coming again in glory.

ARTICLE IV
THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of Life.

ARTICLE V
SALVATION

We believe salvation is God’s gift of grace through Jesus Christ.

ARTICLE VI
THE CHURCH

We believe in One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church founded by Jesus Christ.

ARTICLE VII
APOSTOLIC SUCCESSION

We believe the ministry of Bishops, Priests, and Deacons continues through Apostolic Succession.

ARTICLE VIII
THE SACRAMENTS

We recognize the Sacraments as sacred signs instituted by Christ and entrusted to His Church.

ARTICLE IX
THE HOLY EUCHARIST

We believe that Christ is truly present in the Holy Eucharist and that the Eucharist is the source and summit of Christian life.

ARTICLE X
THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

We believe:

• Mary is Theotokos (Mother of God)
• Mary was conceived without Original Sin (Immaculate Conception)
• Mary remained Ever Virgin
• Mary was assumed body and soul into Heavenly Glory
• Mary is Mother of the Church and model of Christian discipleship

We honor and venerate the Blessed Virgin Mary while reserving worship and adoration to God alone.

ARTICLE XI
THE COMMUNION OF SAINTS

We believe in the Communion of Saints and honor all Saints as faithful witnesses of Christ.

ARTICLE XII
COMMUNION WITH THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH

We affirm spiritual communion with the Holy Father and with the historic teachings and apostolic heritage of the Universal Church.

While maintaining our Catholic and Apostolic identity, we differ in certain disciplinary matters including clerical celibacy and sacramental pastoral practice.

ARTICLE XIII
HOLY ORDERS

We recognize both celibate and married clergy as valid expressions of ordained ministry.

ARTICLE XIV
HOLY COMMUNION

We welcome baptized Christians who have attained the age of reason, ordinarily seven years and above, and who approach the Sacrament with faith, reverence, and proper disposition, to receive Holy Communion.

ARTICLE XV
PRAYER AND WORSHIP

We believe in the power of prayer, worship, praise, intercession, healing, deliverance, meditation, and devotion.

ARTICLE XVI
MISSION AND EVANGELIZATION

We embrace the Great Commission of Jesus Christ to make disciples of all nations.

ARTICLE XVII
MARRIAGE AND FAMILY

We affirm marriage as a sacred covenant established by God.

ARTICLE XVIII
CARE FOR THE POOR AND VULNERABLE

We are committed to serving the poor, orphaned, vulnerable, elderly, sick, and marginalized.

ARTICLE XIX
SOCIAL JUSTICE AND HUMAN DIGNITY

We uphold the dignity of every human person created in the image of God.

ARTICLE XX
THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ will return in glory to judge the living and the dead.

ARTICLE XXI
THE NICENE CREED

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.

CONCLUSION

We profess this Statement of Faith as the official doctrine of the Ecumenical Church of Christ Mission USA.

We dedicate ourselves to Faith, Mission, and Service under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, in communion with the Apostolic faith, honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary and all the Saints, and proclaiming the Gospel to all people.

To God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit be all glory, honor, dominion, and praise forever and ever.

Ministry to the Aged, Homeless, Refugees & People Living with Disabilities

At Ecumenical Church of Christ Mission USA – The Mission, we believe that every person is created in the image of God and deserves to be treated with dignity, love, and compassion. Through this ministry, we reach out to older adults, people experiencing homelessness, refugees, and individuals living with disabilities by offering spiritual care, practical support, friendship, prayer, and hope.

Our mission is to share Christ’s love through acts of service, advocacy, and community partnership, ensuring that the vulnerable are welcomed, valued, and empowered. We are committed to being the hands and feet of Jesus by serving those in need and helping build a compassionate, inclusive, and faith-filled community where everyone belongs.

COME TO JESUS—HE CARRIES WHAT YOU CANNOT

My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ,

Today, many of us have traveled thousands of miles from the lands of our birth. We have left behind parents, children, friends, careers, and familiar places. Some of us carry the weight of uncertain immigration status. Some worry about work, paying rent, learning a new culture, or wondering what tomorrow will bring. Others quietly carry grief, loneliness, or disappointment that no one else can see.

If that is your story, today’s Gospel is God’s personal invitation to you.

“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

Notice that Jesus does not say, “Come when you have solved all your problems.” He simply says, “Come.”

Come with your fears.
Come with your tears.
Come with your unanswered questions.
Come with your empty pockets.
Come with your broken dreams.

Jesus is not waiting for perfect people. He welcomes weary people.

In the first reading from Zechariah, God promises a King who comes in humility and brings peace—not through violence or fear, but through righteousness and love. That King is Jesus Christ. He comes gently into our lives, not to condemn us but to restore us.

St. Paul reminds us in Romans that those who live by the Spirit discover true life. Our identity is not determined by our passport, our accent, our job, or our bank account. Our deepest identity is that we belong to Christ. Wherever we are, God is with us.

My dear friends, you may feel like strangers in this country, but you are never strangers in the Kingdom of God. In Christ, you have a home. In Christ, you have a family. In Christ, you have hope.

Our church may be young, but remember that every mighty oak began as a small seed. Every great cathedral began with a single stone. Every great ministry began with a handful of faithful believers who trusted God.

You are those believers.

You are not here by accident. God has brought each one of you here for a purpose. He will use your faith, your prayers, your work, your generosity, and your testimony to build His Kingdom.

So do not lose heart.

If you are searching for work, keep praying and keep trying.
If you miss your family, remember that God walks beside you.
If you have experienced rejection, remember that Christ has accepted you.
If you are tired, let Jesus carry your burden.

As we begin this new church family, let us carry one another’s burdens. Let no one feel alone. Let the lonely find friendship. Let the discouraged find hope. Let every child feel loved. Let every elder be honored. Let every visitor know that Christ is present among us.

When people enter these doors, may they not simply find a church building. May they find a family. May they find healing. May they find forgiveness. Above all, may they encounter the living Christ.

The future is brighter than our past because God walks before us.

Let us therefore trust Him, serve Him faithfully, and never stop believing that the God who brought us this far will never abandon us.

May the peace of Christ fill your hearts, strengthen your families, bless your work, and guide your journey every day.

Our Pastoral Ministries

A RURAL WOMAN IN KENYA:

Today, I invite you to pause for a moment and think of a rural woman in Kenya.

She is a mother who rises before dawn and sleeps long after everyone else has gone to bed. She carries the weight of her family, often with little or no support. She works tirelessly to feed her children, care for the sick, comfort the broken, and keep hope alive despite overwhelming poverty.

Many of these women walk miles every day for water. Many struggle to provide even one meal for their families. Some have lost their husbands through illness or tragedy. Others are raising orphaned grandchildren or children left behind by poverty, conflict, or disease.

Yet they never stop loving.

They never stop believing.

They never stop hoping.

At the Ecumenical Church of Christ, together with the MHC Foundation and the St. Lawrence and Margarita Dosal Project, we have witnessed both their suffering and their extraordinary courage. For many years, we have stood alongside vulnerable women, orphaned children, struggling families, and forgotten communities by providing education, food, shelter, healthcare, counseling, spiritual care, and opportunities for a better future.

But the need continues to grow.

There are children waiting for school fees.

There are mothers praying for food.

There are elderly people who need medicine.

There are young people longing for education and vocational training.

There are families waiting for someone to remind them that they are not forgotten.

We cannot do this work alone.

Today, we humbly invite you to become part of this mission of hope.

Your support—whether large or small—can help provide:

• Nutritious meals for hungry children.
• Education and school supplies for vulnerable students.
• Medical care for the sick.
• Safe shelter for orphaned and abandoned children.
• Empowerment programs for women and families.
• Community development projects that restore dignity and create lasting change.

More than a financial gift, your generosity is an investment in human dignity. It tells a struggling mother that she is seen. It tells a child that dreams are still possible. It tells a forgotten community that compassion still exists.

Every act of kindness creates a ripple of hope that reaches far beyond what we can imagine.

If God has blessed you with the ability to help, we prayerfully ask you to stand with us.

Together, we can replace despair with hope.

Together, we can transform lives.

Together, we can give vulnerable women and children the opportunity not merely to survive, but to flourish.
